Last column I asserted that the global Money Power controls people nowadays through psychological warfare. Put simply, they lie to people. As long as enough “sheeple” believe the lie, they can then be counted on to police the thoughts of any dissenters. This is a much easier control mechanism than the open violence that had marked the Money Power’s rule from the Dark Ages up until quite recently.
Last column I pinpointed one of their biggest lies: the might is right dominance paradigm, which portrays nature as a violent and dangerous place, a dog eat dog world where capitalism, colonialism, warfare and even slavery are “necessary evils”. This despite 100,000 years of relatively peaceful human existence which proves otherwise.
So what are the real life implications of this “programming” of Western industrial man, largely through mass media talk radio and television?
First, and most importantly, you get a population that fears and loathes nature. If nature is such a brutish place then it must be alright to regularly subdue and destroy it. Since humans are a part of nature, we are implicitly taught to hate ourselves. Here organized religion plays a huge role, supplanting a timeless nature-based spirituality based on scientific inference with a fear/guilt/shame-based top-down belief system which replicates the Money Power-imposed monopoly capitalist order. While there have been occasional skirmishes between the Money Power and the Church throughout their relatively brief existence, they are essentially two sides of the same Rothschild-minted coin.
Advancements made in the field of psychology by Third Reich Nazi scientists have also played a large role in promoting self-hatred and nihilism. Every time you watch a commercial on TV, run by one of the Money Power-controlled corporate tentacles, you are not so much being persuaded to buy that product- though of course that is a part of the spectacle- as you are being denigrated and demeaned. You are, according to their own documents, being “talked to like a 6th-grader”. You are being told that you are a worthless no-good human who has greasy hair, yellow teeth and an inadequate sex life. All of which can be fixed for a small fee.
TV sitcoms are not much different than commercials, typically featuring people of low moral character using and abusing each other in denigrating ways. Reality shows like “The Apprentice” and “World’s Biggest Loser” take this denigration of human beings to a whole different level. Somehow, the Donald Trumps of the world, seem to escape this denigration, as in the former show, where he decides which lowly peasant will be demeaned the most.
Herein lies the second implication of the TV “programming”, which is “channeled” to us by the “network”. While we are being stripped of our self-knowledge and our innate moral compass, lied to, and taught that we are worthless; we are simultaneously being instructed to worship and revere The Money Power. We are taught to be social climbers. Trillionares, you see, are exempt from the mass hatred.
Bankers and their corporate gendarmes can feast all day and all night at the trough of government, openly stealing the public wealth, yet the sheeple are programmed to ignore it. Instead, the echo-chamber thought police, as instructed by Glenn Beck or some other psychopath whose mother didn’t love him, will gleefully and self-righteously send a lynch mob after some poor welfare mother who has received a few crumbs of government cheese and is subsequentally made poster child for the “miserable condition of humanity” by the Money Power. Then the sheeple mob will dress up in their Sunday best and march off to Church to praise Jesus, who would have been disgusted at their day’s work.
Never mind that a Money Power tentacle made that cheese on USDA subsidies, another sold it to our public schools at an over-inflated price, still another got free US Army protection for its dairy farm in Venezuela which robbed Americans of jobs, while yet another got free land and tax-free status for it’s Wisconsin cheese factory.
But Americans are waking up to this psycho-warfare con game. Last year’s mega-bank bailout may have been the last straw. Even trillionaires have to remember to cover their muddy tracks on the way home from the trough. Health care was a big issue to tackle. Despite insurance company lies we now have a starting point for a public health care system that both works and saves money. But an even bigger battle now looms.
The bank regulation bill which came out of Senator Chris Dodd’s (D-CT) Senate Banking Committee looks pretty good upon first inspection. The strong anti-trust language in the bill could start us down the road of breaking up non-competitive Money Power trusts from Big Oil to Big Grain to Big Bank. This represents a reversal of the Darwin redux dominance paradigm Reaganomics which led to merger mania, Wall Street fraud, financial bubbles and this Great Recession we find ourselves in.
As Darwin himself pointed out, a species will thrive in relation to the amount of cooperation within that species.
