FCC Should Revoke Licenses of FOX & CNN

00001 7One of the great things about traveling overseas is that you don’t tend to watch much television.  Fine by me.  I think if every American tossed their tube there would be a revolution inside of a week.  It has long been the primary tool of the global elite in the brainwashing of the masses.

When we do have a room with a TV while travelling we are always struck by the varying quality of the international news channels.  In Thailand we got Le Monde out of France, the British BBC, DW from Germany, China’s CCTV, Al Jazeera from Qatar, NHK out of Japan, as well as news channels from South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Russia and the US.

What is most disturbing is that the US news - Fox News and CNN – are far and away the worst. In fact they are not even news channels.  They titulate and entain with their Ken and Barbie fashion show, hiring illiterate supermodels to deliver the daily dose of gossip column quality distraction.

My wife had a great idea for a t-shirt: FOX- Fear Or Xenophobia.  I won’t bother to define the latter word since those who don’t know what it means are problem busy watching, well, Fox News.  From the scary Swine Flu to the ominous Guantanamo prisoners who would surely somehow bomb New York if tried there, to the goulish “socialist” health care bill.  Every purported news story on Fox News one morning was instead a giant fear bomb dropped on the viewer to put them into a mindless inert state of blind obedience to some invisible right-wing robocop fascist corporate state.

Al-Jazeera is one the best news channel I watched there. That’s why many of the best US and European journalists including David Frost have been hired away from the fluff channels and now work for Al-Jazeera.  Yet al-Jazeera is barely shown in the US.  Ostensibly, I suppose, because Fox has told it’s viewers that it is run by “those people who attacked us”?  Ignorance and fear are a very bad combination.

Al-Jazeera has, however, gained a foothold in the US.  Their recent purchase of Current TV should expand their presence.  I would encourage all of you to write a letter of support to both your Congressperson and the FCC in support of this excellent news source.  While you’re at it, suggest the possibility that Fox News and CNN have, by virtue of their dumbing down of the population, become a threat to our national security and that their licenses shoud be revoked.

Two even better television news networks are Russia’s RT News and Iran’s Press TV.  I have recently had the honor of working with the latter network, which is owned by the government of Iran.  Recently Press TV was dropped by Eurosat in a blatant act of censorship by the EU.  You will find links to both of these excellent news sources in the links section of this blog.

News media have a contractual obligation to serve the public good.  All news has a certain bias, if only because of what is considered newsworthy in the first place.  A diversity of opinion is healthy in a democracy.  But the public owns the nation’s airwaves, which the FCC is charged with doling out to radio and TV stations.  The public then, has the right to decide on a democratic basis who gets to use those airwaves. It’s not about “money equals free speech”, as the whacko far right would have us believe.  The Constitution says nothing about that.  It’s about public airwaves employed for the public good.

I would argue that neither CNN nor Fox News in their current form serve the public good.  There must be more worthy news sources who deserve an FCC license to operate in the US.  Press TV, RT News and Al-Jazeera are just a few that come to mind.

Fear Or Xenophobia – brought to you by the Zionist Rupert Murdoch and Saudi Prince Alaweed bin Talal – the two biggest shareholders of Newscorp.  It’s time to rid our democracy of this mindless indoctrination.  It is a threat to our national security.  I’m calling for a publicly circulated referendum to pull the plug on both Fox News and the billionaire Ted Turner’s CNN.

  1. This is GREAT food for thought. The propaganda box commonly called T.V. should be considered a threat national security. It has done more to destroy the social and intellectual fabric of the U.S. than any other device with the exception of the National Education Association. The NEA has provided the generational groundwork to facilitate the expansion of gullibility needed for the success of TV. See “Charlotte Iserbyt: The Miseducation of America Part 1-Full” on Youtube and can viewed here:

I agree with the assessment regarding Fox and CNN, but I believe this can and should be applied to all the other criminal network syndicates with alphabet call letters. Good article. I wish more people could read this, but I have seen too many people of late who don’t know the difference between a browser and a search engine.

  2. Revoking their license would just creat a vacuum for another zionist or CIA con job to take their place. How about revoking US citizenship to all dual Israeli-US citizens in our government and those in media, finance/banking, and education at the University level. That would actually do something. Then you could pass a law that only US born citizens born to two US born citizens can hold offices in these powerful positions. Can you imagine how different the USA would be if we passed that law?

  3. Scary how the government of Iran gives Americans more reliable news than 3 different “news” networks that run 24 hours a day. The best way to receive your info is to check what each network says, and the bias is as see through as ice in a glass of sprite.

  4. It is not the job of the FCC to censor or control political speech. That FOX/CNN have the influence they do is symptomatic of other issues – and it is also called democracy; if the views of FOX/CNN were that repulsive to the vast majority of people, they would shut up or change their views.

  5. I totally agree, along with a few other real newsworthy sites. We got rid of our tv about a year ago and don’t miss it for a minute. I read the newsworthy sites first thing in the morning, and then for entertainment, I peruse the laughable nbc, fox, & cnn sites to see how they’ve taken the truth and spun it further than can be imagined. How sad it is to see the American sheeple fall for all that MSM bs hook, line, and sinker. Keep up the good work.

  6. I agree that stop watching television in USA is a good idea. I stopped cable subscription about a year and half ago which means I do not get television anymore. I have much more peace in my life. I get my news from several internet sites. Stop imbibing all USA mainstream media of any form and become every more discriminating on websites visited. This is one big and excellent way to withdraw from the system and therefore bring it down.

I have to disagree about al Jazeera. It is owned and run by the Arab government and i do not trust any government run entitiy. In fact, I no longer trust much of “journalism” anywhere these days. True journalism is supposed to be neutral and is supposed to be a watchdog of the government. Nowadays, the government and the media are one and the same and the owners are all one and the same entity.

P.S. I was wondering, Dean, where I can find what I think you wrote about Rockefellers going over to the Rothschild camp. Sure would like to read about that. Sorry for off-topic question.

  8. So true Dean, the big media boys are horrible to watch, it even hurts the ear, eyes and brain to sitting the TV.

I have been a true follower of RT and PressTv, the Documentaries that Press TV makes are awesome and really eyeopening. I worked in Iran myself in 2004 for some months and you do you know that I had never been so impressed by a people as the Iranians?? So warm, respectful to each other and living simple but (apparently) in happiness…. So far Western conviction of ” how it should be” .
After I left and having observed the Western politics against Iran (which of course isn’t because of Axle of Evil, Terrorist or other CRAP the media willing put in the air), my conclusion was that no-one, but no-one could conquer and win from the Iranians, because It’s in their heads. They are too beautiful to be conquered.
If the US government would ever decide to enter Iran, I think it will be a nightmare for them, nothing like Afghanistan, nothing like Iraq, because here they will confront a United people, a people that doesn’t WANT the USA to mingle with their things…. and they are so damn right, it’s sad to see the Western world do what they do to others (let’s not get into the recent details of Mali, because my fingers already start to tickle by thinking of it !!!).

I’m sure you saw the 34th anniversary of Iran’s Revolution 2 days ago… Quite amazing: the President just greeting all his people: No Bullet proof, No super security, etc.etc.

Reminded me of Khaddafi… he did the same stuff, just sit between his people… that’s courage, that means people are happy.

    Keep it up Dean!!!!

    • “Basically it’s a quiet exit, though. And I think the main reason is because, you know, we didn’t win. Nobody will say that. Nobody will admit that in the State Department. You know, there’s no way we can win and I guess the good news is maybe they realized that now and they’re just going to sort of quietly come home,”

Great comment on PressTV, Dean… Another “Nam”…. sad as hell, we can summarize in one word: A.s.h.les

  9. wow el liezeera 24/7 in english arabic (they wanted to go indian + african)! nay Dean you U are wrong. these scum outlet are no different.
nay worse than the ones you have written about.
Many moons ago I was sent a video by some
friends we shared domicile while studying by a concert given by an Italian comic in Switzerland – Beppe Grilloin English now turned to politics and is making the zionised mafiosi piss in their pants (and not only but also obomber savage gang of thugs) as he is filling the Piazzas on snowy bitterly cold days.
the cnn went to him and asked him “how he knew” of the financial scams/frauds they told him that the 2 biggest sponsors of el liezeera were:
    GM & P&G
and if el liezeera does not do what USrahell tell them and we will shift the satellite a few degrees and they are off air

important point: el liezeera constructed MY GREEN SQUARE and having whores/bitches fill up GREEN SQUARE claiming it was in LIBYA – we are disgusted that you would say what you have said about this waste product outlet.
    Stop War Crimes!
Exposing media lies as war propaganda.
    Al Jazeera’s fake Green Square
And guess what the same in our SYRIA
Just think why have they got the bbc leftover. What you think jerks like frost left the murderous outlet for el liezeera for something better? Nay they left for something worse – slaughter more women & children and make vast amount of- blood money

  10. “CNN” Cartoon News Network
    “CNN” Criminals News Network
    “CNN” Commie News Network

We could go on and on, but we get the point.

While it’s true in the old sense that when you travel, you can’t carry around a TV. That’s why there was the big push for digital TV at the same time “Smart Phones” became all the rage.

Now we can get our daily does of distractions 24/7, no matter where you are. That’s why you see so many people walking around looking at their plams. And when the bus squashes them, they’ll never know what hit them because they were watching Wolf Blitzer lie to them, or laughing at Honey Boo Boo.

Keep up the good work Dean! Best to Jill, too!

  11. My decision to watch or not watch Fox or CNN or any of the other corporate media false flag operations is no longer a conscious choice for me. I can no longer watch it any longer without having a visceral and nauseating reaction. It is so obviously a vehicle of propagandists and treasonous liars that I can no longer take any of it seriously. It would be funny if it were not so dangerous. Thank you Dean for making an effort to point this out to as many people as possible. I pray that more and more people will see past the charade and look behind the filthy curtain.
