Today, for the first time since the 1979 Iranian Revolution, two Iranian warships entered the Suez Canal bound for the Mediterranean. The frigate and supply ship will conduct training exercises with the Syrian military. Since the Egyptian uprising, Western intelligence agencies have been busy backing protests in Libya, Iran and Syria.
